China News Service, May 16. According to Hong Kong's "Sing Tao Daily" report, a man in Pat Heung, Yuen Long District, New Territories, Hong Kong, who operates a used car business, left home with his wife for less than an hour on the evening of the 14th and returned home in the early morning of the 15th. Hejian's apartment was visited by thieves, and he lost nearly 5 million yuan (HKD, the same below), including four watches with a total value of about 3 million yuan.

Since the lights of the village house were still on at the time of the incident, the police believed that the thieves spy on the owner of the house after going out, and used the wooden ladder to climb to the back of the house and pry the window to sneak into the crime.

The head of the household said that the property was lost due to the theft, and security will be strengthened in the future.

The scene is a village house in Xiewu Village in Shangcun, Baxiang. The 34-year-old head of the household surnamed Wu is an aboriginal resident who operates a second-hand car business.

Mr. Wu's grandmother and relatives also live in the neighbouring house.

According to Mr. Wu, on the afternoon of the 14th, he drove three dogs to the pet grooming shop to take a shower and returned home. At about 11 o'clock that night, his wife received a call from the pet grooming shop saying that the service had been completed, so he drove with his wife to pick him up. Back to the dog, during the back and forth less than an hour.

At about 0:00 a.m. on the 15th, when Mr. Wu and his wife returned to the apartment, they found that the living room window had been pried open, and there were traces of looting in the house. After counting, it was confirmed that he had lost four famous watches worth nearly 3 million yuan, jewelry worth about 400,000 yuan and about 150 yuan in cash, and he quickly reported to the police for help.

After the police arrived at the scene to investigate, they learned that although Mr. Wu was not in the apartment at the time, the lights in the house were still on, but the thief still dared to pry the window and enter the house. It is believed that the thief had allowed Mr. Wu to go out and then attacked.

The police are investigating the case and arresting the thief.

Mr. Wu said that after the incident, it was found that there was a nearly 3-meter long wooden ladder and an iron pass next to the window at the back of the apartment. It is believed that the thief had prepared a wooden ladder to climb up and used the iron pass to pry open the window to sneak in.

Mr. Wu said that he never thought that thieves would enter the house, so no security facilities such as CCTV were installed.
