While the number of users of railways and buses is decreasing due to the influence of the new corona, the LDP parliamentary federation will set up a council to discuss solutions when there is a request from businesses and local governments that it is difficult to maintain the route. We have put together a proposal that calls for the independent involvement of the country.

The number of users of public transportation such as railroads and buses nationwide is decreasing due to the impact of the new corona in addition to the declining population, and maintaining routes has become an issue.

At a meeting of the Liberal Democratic Party Parliamentary Union, which was held on the 16th to examine the ideal form of public transportation, a draft proposal for the government was presented.

In this, if there is a request from a business operator or a local government along the line that it is difficult to maintain the line, the government should host a council to discuss the solution.

In addition, if necessary, the government should take the initiative in providing support through budgetary measures and tax incentives.

The proposal was generally approved at the meeting on the 16th, and the Parliamentary Union will apply to Prime Minister Kishida later this week.
