Today (16th), President Yun Seok-yeol's speech on corrections related to the supplementary budget bill at the main assembly hall of the National Assembly proceeded relatively calmly with the attention of lawmakers from the ruling and opposition parties.



President Yoon entered the plenary session at 10:04 for a speech on municipal administration after having a pre-interview with National Assembly Speaker Park Byeong-seok and leaders of the opposition parties at the National Assembly this morning.



When President Yoon appeared, Yoon Ho-jung, the chairman of the Democratic Party of Korea, and Park Hong-geun, the floor leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, who stood near the aisle, shook hands with President Yoon and greeted him.

On the way to the plenary hall, President Yoon shook hands with the People's Power and Democratic Party lawmakers who sat in the seats on either side of the plenary session regardless of the opposition.

After President Yoon arrived at the podium, National Assembly Speaker Park Byeong-seok said, "President, greet the chairman as well," causing laughter inside the plenary hall.



During the 14-minute and 40-second speech, President Yoon requested the National Assembly's cooperation on various national issues along with the handling of the supplementary budget bill.



When President Yoon emphasized his belief in 'parliamentaryism' and mentioned the partnership between British Prime Minister Churchill and Labor Party leader Attlee during World War II, applause broke out in the hall.



After President Yoon delivered his speech, he first headed towards the People's Power seat.



The lawmakers sitting in the aisle even shook hands and made eye contact with the members of the inner seats.



President Yoon then crossed the back of the plenary hall and walked to the Democratic Party seat.



As an escort for floor leader Kwon Seong-dong and National Assembly Vice-Chairman Jeong Jin-seok, President Yoon also shook hands with Democratic lawmakers evenly.



President Yoon also shook hands with Shim Sang-jung and Jang Hye-young from the Justice Party seat.



While President Yoon shook hands with lawmakers from the opposition parties, applause continued in the hall, and President Yoon, who shook hands with lawmakers from the opposition parties, left the plenary hall in about 20 minutes.
