Lee Jae-myung, chairman of the Democratic Party's general election, said he would 100% agree and agree if the People's Power proposes a bill to restrict the privilege of non-arresting members of the National Assembly.

Chairman Lee had an exclusive interview with SBS in Gyeyang-gu, Incheon on the 16th and said this about the remarks of Kwon Seong-dong, floor leader of the People's Power, to promote a bill restricting the privilege of non-arrest of members of the National Assembly.

However, he predicted that the power of the people, as he knew it, would never be proposed as a party argument.

Kwon Seong-dong, the floor leader, suggested on his SNS yesterday that the National Assembly Act should be amended, saying that the privilege of non-arresting members of the National Assembly should not be abused as a criminal privilege.

The current National Assembly Act requires that the arrest motion be voted on within 72 hours when it is reported to the National Assembly plenary session.

However, floor leader Kwon said that the arrest could be delayed if the agenda of the plenary session was not deliberately set, and the law was amended so that a vote on the consent to arrest must be voted on within 24 hours and 48 hours after the motion for arrest was reported to the plenary session. said it was necessary.

Chairman Lee made a nonsensical accusation against the criticism of the people's power that running for the second election as a member of the National Assembly is for bulletproof use of Incheon Gyeyang, and maliciously propagating it as if there were huge crimes or irregularities, saying that empty guns do not need bullets. innocence was emphasized.

Chairman Lee apologized for allegations of sexual misconduct within the party, including Rep. Park Wan-joo and Choi Kang-wook, and said he should take responsibility.

In particular, regarding Rep. Park, he said that the highest level of responsibility should be held at the party level, and that it is necessary to maximize any measures at the National Assembly level.

Chairman Lee diagnosed the prospect of the June local election as an unfavorable structure for the Democratic Party as it is an election that will be held three weeks after the election.

He then emphasized that winning even one election for regional leaders in the metropolitan area is the beginning of victory, and he emphasized that the election for the governor of Gyeonggi-do must be won.
