Twelve years after his incredible escape from the Montpellier courthouse, Boris Chedru was arrested by the territorial management of the judicial police on Thursday evening, on the outskirts of Montpellier.

According to Midi Libre, which reveals the information, he would have recently returned to the region.

Incarcerated in the spring in pre-trial detention at the Villeneuve-lès-Maguelone remand center, he was injured there while playing football in the yard.

An injury that had forced him to move on crutches.

Sentenced twice in his absence

On April 15, 2010, transferred to the courthouse to be heard by an investigating judge, he struck a blow with a crutch and kicked the two gendarmes who surrounded him to run away in handcuffs. .

In 2011, he was sentenced to three years in prison in absentia for thefts of BMWs from a dealership in Montpellier.

He is also being prosecuted in a drug case, after the discovery of a box containing 120 kg of cannabis resin.

In the same case, he was sentenced to six years in prison in 2016 for pointing a Kalashnikov at the head of a man who demanded a debt of 200,000 euros from them.
