It was at 11 pm on Saturday evening that the rescue service was alerted to Drakensköldsgatan in Eskilstuna.
A hair salon had started to burn and the room was very smoky.
According to the police, no one was injured and the rescue service managed to extinguish the fire.
No person has been arrested and the police label the incident as arson.
