In southern Ukraine, the Mykolaiv region is still under fire from Russian artillery and shelling.

For the Russians who occupy Kherson, this city, further west, represents a final lock before Odessa, the great Ukrainian port on the Black Sea, but the lines seem fixed.

Near Bachtanka, in a rest base of a Ukrainian army garrison, in a hangar, some soldiers are eating.

The deputy commander of the 63rd brigade, Vadym Tchorniy has just returned from the front a few tens of kilometers away: “ 

If we take this front, in all likelihood, the enemy has decided to bury themselves in the trenches.

They do not carry out active offensive military activity, only artillery fire along the entire front line.

They no longer have offensive potential.

All the resources they had, they sent them to Donbass and the Kharkiv region in the direction of Izium to try to surround our army.

Western aid helps maintain troop morale

If the lines do not move much, the morale of the troops remains good, explains Major Ihor Dziuba, who acts as a psychologist within the unit.

According to him, Western aid has something to do with it: “ 

A reliable rear front with reliable supplies, that has a big impact.

Yes, our ammunition and our material are not infinite, but we have resources because we are helped politically and materially.

That's why we think we can achieve the goals we set for ourselves.
