“From the materials submitted to the court, it follows that the defendant is a supporter of the ideas of neo-Nazism and planned an armed attack on people in one of the shopping and entertainment centers in Sochi on May 9, 2022.
Having considered the materials, the court agreed with the arguments of the investigation and took the suspect into custody for a period of one month and 29 days, until July 12, 2022, inclusive,” the press service told TASS.
On May 13, the FSB reported that security forces had detained a Russian born in 1991 who planned to carry out a terrorist attack at a shopping and entertainment center in Sochi on May 9.
At home, a revolver with ammunition, an F-1 grenade, edged weapons and a handwritten plan-scheme of the planned crime were confiscated from him.
The detainee himself admitted that he planned to kill more than 50 people.
