The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) considered today, Saturday, that the settlers' calls to storm the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque constitute a dangerous escalation, while at the same time it condemned the German judiciary's decision to ban activities that commemorate the Palestinian Nakba.

Hamas said that the calls issued by Israeli groups to storm the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque "a dangerous escalation that could lead to the outbreak of an open clash."

Anadolu Agency quoted Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem as saying that the calls to storm Al-Aqsa on the anniversary of the Nakba are a dangerous escalation and a provocation to the feelings of our people and our nation.

Qassem added that these calls would lead to "an open clash with the Zionist occupation bearing its full consequences."

He also called on the Palestinians in Jerusalem and the occupied West Bank and within the Green Line to travel to Al-Aqsa Mosque to thwart the plans of the occupation.

Recently, Israeli groups called for the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque in conjunction with the commemoration of the Palestinian Nakba, which falls on May 15 of each year.

The Palestinians call the term "the Nakba" the process of their displacement from their lands at the hands of armed Zionist gangs in 1948, in preparation for the declaration of the establishment of Israel in the same year.

In the same context, Hamas condemned today, Saturday, the decision of the Administrative Court in Germany to ban activities commemorating the Palestinian Nakba.

The movement's leader, Abd al-Latif al-Qanou, stated that the ban decision "confiscates the right of the Palestinian people to commemorate their catastrophe and their forced displacement from their villages and cities."

Al-Qanoua considered that the decision "is an attempt to obscure the narrative that shows the reality of the ugly face of the Israeli occupation by omitting the refugee issue, which is the main witness to one of the largest ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people."

According to media reports, a German court in the capital, Berlin, approved yesterday, Friday, its support for banning all Palestinian "Nakba Day" demonstrations scheduled to be held in the capital at the end of this week.
