China News Agency, New York, May 14th. The police in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA reported on the 14th that a mass shooting occurred in the city on the evening of the 13th, injuring 17 people.

It was the deadliest shooting in the city in the past decade.

  Milwaukee Police Chief Warren Allen said 17 people, aged 15, were injured in the shooting after 11 p.m. that night near the city's densely populated Bucks district. Between the ages of 47 and 47, the injuries were not life-threatening.

Police have so far arrested 10 people involved and seized nine handguns.

  Allen said the incident followed two other shootings near Bucks, in which three and one were injured.

Police have not yet determined whether the incidents are related.

Nationwide, gun violence has killed at least 15,815 people this year and injured 12,963 others.
