China Overseas Chinese Network, May 11th: I thought it was a "gold rush", but it turned out to be an escape...

"This knife stabbed through my stomach, and the knife here broke my intestines... If you don't obey, they will sell you, and you will never get out..."

On May 6, Liu Moumou told the police of Mingguang City Public Security Bureau of Anhui Province about his experience in northern Myanmar.

Liu Moumou said that he heard that northern Myanmar could make a lot of money, so he was introduced by someone and went to northern Myanmar in August 2021 to engage in telecommunications fraud locally.

Because he was illiterate and unable to "work" properly, he was often punished and not allowed to eat.

He tried to resist, but was stabbed twice by the leader of the telecom fraud gang, one stabbed through the stomach and another in the intestines...

How many people hold the "dream of making a fortune" in their hearts, but fall into the trap of the "devil".

Northern Myanmar is really not a paradise for making a fortune!

"Suicide is a luxury"

In 2020, Li Xian chatted with a netizen and learned that he could have a good job in northern Myanmar, and he could earn 15,000 yuan a month as a driver.

Excited, he soon embarked on a "gold rush" trip to northern Myanmar.

Unexpectedly, what awaited him was a nightmare.

After a tortuous journey to northern Myanmar, Li Xian discovered that the so-called "high-paying job" was actually a telecom fraud.

After Li Xian clearly refused, he was severely beaten.

Every day in northern Myanmar was a torment for Li Xian.

He had thought about committing suicide, but under strict surveillance, he had no chance of committing suicide.

Zhang Tao and Li Bin, who had a similar experience with Li Xian, also came to northern Myanmar because they believed in the information about "high-paying recruitment" that their friends said.

They say that when they encounter those who still refuse to accept "discipline" after being violently abused, the criminals will do something that threatens their life and safety, and take a video in the name of asking for smuggling fees, coercing their families to transfer money to redeem them.

Due to the impact of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, the criminal gang had to disband some members.

So Li Xian, whose "performance" was not outstanding, became one of them.

Penniless, with the help of his fellow villagers, he set up a stall to sell fried rice and saved enough travel expenses before returning to China to surrender.

Under the threat of violence by the criminal gang, Zhang Tao, Li Bin and others finally contacted their family members and "paid" the criminal gang for smuggling expenses ranging from 30,000 to 60,000 yuan before they were able to escape from the clutches.

"It's no different for a local to kill a person than to kill a dog"

Zhou Xing, from the Beijing Mountains of Hubei, originally had a wealthy family.

His parents, who have been doing business in Guangdong all the year round, bought him two houses in Guangzhou. As long as there are no accidents, he will not worry about food and clothing all his life.

But his father's sentence "you left me, it's not shit" made him eager to prove himself.

"The expatriate labor service includes food and housing, and the monthly income is 50,000 yuan. The work is easy, the activities are free, and you can travel abroad." Such a recruitment message made Zhou Xing very excited.

"Maybe this is an opportunity to give yourself a big punch?"

So, he followed his fellow Jingshan villagers and smuggled all the way from the virgin jungle on the border of Yunnan to northern Myanmar.

What he never expected was that in northern Myanmar, what awaited him was endless torture.

After arriving in northern Myanmar, Zhou Xing discovered that the so-called "company" was just the second floor of the hotel.

Before entering the door, his ID card was taken away.

On the first day of the company, the promised "all-inclusive travel expenses" came to nothing.

In addition to office supplies, accommodation, meals... After all, the "gold" has not been found, but the company has already owed 10,000 to 20,000 yuan.

And the job that the "company" gave them was how to chat with women between the ages of 25 and 40, how to inquire about their savings, and how to estimate how much money they could defraud.

Zhou Xing realized that he had fallen into a trap.

Here, someone was shaved and humiliated for disobedience to discipline; someone was fined for dancing at the company wearing sexy lingerie for trying to escape...

"In northern Myanmar, I feel that my life is not as good as a dog." Zhou Xing said that killing a person is no different from killing a dog.

Here, beating them up, how they were beaten, and even how long they were in the water prison were just a matter of the boss's words.

In addition to the death threats, there is the company's constant exploitation.

When he came back from northern Myanmar, Zhou Xing, who had worked for half a year, only had 6,000 yuan of deposits left before joining the job. He borrowed 10,000 yuan from a friend to get out.

Dirty money recovered.

In June 2021, this telecommunications network fraud group named "Yonglong Company" was detected by the Jingshan City Public Security Bureau in Hubei Province in one fell swoop, and a total of 93 suspects were arrested.

"I hope to tell these experiences of mine to wake up everyone who is carried away by money." Zhou Xing said to the police.

"Rescue young people who illegally leave the country to engage in electrical fraud"

According to the introduction of the public security police in Zhangzhou, Quanzhou and other places in Fujian Province, among the outflowing people, the vast majority are those under the age of 30, mainly junior high school students, unemployed people, and a few college students.

Criminal gangs use their fellow villagers and classmates, and even professional intermediary companies, smugglers, etc., to lure people abroad to engage in illegal and criminal activities with high salaries as bait.

In order to save these young people, many places have expressed that they will increase support for these young people who have been persuaded to return, including vocational skills training, providing more jobs, psychological counseling, etc., to help them reshape their values and guide them. Embark on the path of self-reliance and honest labor.

Last year, under the unified deployment of the Ministry of Public Security, a nationwide operation was carried out to persuade people who left the country illegally stranded in northern Myanmar and those who engaged in telecommunication and network fraud.

The embassies and consulates abroad have also issued relevant reminders on many occasions: to be vigilant and protect their own rights and interests, not only to avoid being defrauded of money by telecom fraud, but also to avoid being used by recruitment scams and becoming an accomplice of fraud.

There is no gold everywhere in northern Myanmar, only the oppressed sin and pain!
