The Yongsan era started when the presidential office was moved from the Blue House to Yongsan, but it is evaluated that it will take quite a while to fully establish itself.

This is because the construction of the office has not been completed yet, and there are still many tasks to be solved, such as the government building protection and interception system.

Reporter Bae Jun-woo reports.

President Yoon started his work in the 'temporary office' on the 5th floor.

Although it is a 'temporary office', bulletproof glass for sniper defense has been installed on the windows, and the arrangement of household items has been completed.

However, the second floor, where the 'official office' will be located, is still under construction.

It is known that the installation of bulletproof glass and interior construction will be completed by the end of this month or early next month.

Additional time is also required to complete the auxiliary rooms, reception rooms and meeting rooms.

It is evaluated that the government building defense system also needs improvement.

In the case of the Blue House, an air defense system was built with Patriot missiles deployed on Mt. Bukhan, whereas in the case of the Yongsan government building, only anti-aircraft guns were deployed on the rooftops of nearby high-rise buildings.

As North Korea's provocations are ongoing, the 'National Crisis Management Center Situation Room' must also be established urgently.

An official from the presidential office said, "The situation room has been operating perfectly since the 5th," but a company that has been constructing the situation room for security facilities such as the Ministry of National Defense predicted that "it will take about a month for the network network stabilization work to be completed".

The Ministry of National Defense, which gave up a seat in the presidential office, is also having a lot of trouble.

The command and departments are scattered across the Joint Chiefs of Staff, etc., but the Ministry of National Defense believes that it should be consolidated and relocated into one building to maximize command efficiency.
