According to the newspaper Helsingin Sanomat, citing the Debt Collection Department, financial operations on Faberlic were suspended due to the imposition of sanctions against the head of the company, Alexei Nechaev, in February.

On May 4, the bailiff service imposed a ban on payments to Faberlic and seized the funds in the company's Finnish bank account.

In addition, the Finnish authorities imposed a ban on operations on the assets of Pavel Gusev, editor-in-chief of Moskovsky Komsomolets, included in the EU sanctions list.

“The newspaper supports the Kremlin’s narrative and actions that undermine or threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine,” the Finnish department said in a statement.

Earlier, New Zealand Foreign Minister Nanaiya Mahuta announced the introduction of new sanctions against a number of Russians and organizations due to the situation in Ukraine.
