Dry in the ground already now - "Sustained rain would be required for several weeks"

- It has not rained for a long time.

But fortunately, it is dew in the mornings, which means that the plants get some moisture, says Ann-Christine Pettersson who goes and waters her allotment.

According to SMHI, so far this year it has rained and snowed unusually little.

Only 75 percent of normal precipitation has fallen over Kalmar and Kronoberg counties in the first five months.

- From March onwards, there has in principle been no precipitation at all.
