• The secretary and the ex-spouse of the main suspect, as well as his 5-year-old daughter, were killed by "several stab wounds" on Sunday in the suburbs of Chalon.

  • The father, a 38-year-old driving school director from this town of Saône-et-Loire, was wanted by the police.

  • His body was finally found on Monday below a bridge in Haute-Savoie.

What prompted Jonathan Cune, 38, manager of two driving schools, to kill his ex-spouse, their young daughter and one of his collaborators this Sunday, May 8, near Chalon-sur-Saône? ?

A little less than 48 hours after the events, the prosecutor of this town of Saône-et-Loire gave an update on the investigation opened after the discovery of the bodies of the three victims then that of the main suspect, found below a bridge in Haute-Savoie.

  • What happened ?

During a press conference organized this Tuesday, May 10, the prosecutor of Chalon, Patrice Guignon, detailed the chronology of the facts committed this weekend.

Sunday evening, the emergency services were called after the discovery of a woman with stab wounds in a parking lot in the "California" commercial area in Saint-Rémy, a town located a few kilometers from Chalon.

According to the magistrate, the victim found in his car was killed "with a single stab" of "dagger type".

Later that night, two dead bodies, that of a woman and a 5-year-old girl, were found by investigators in a home in Gergy, about fifteen kilometers from Chalon.

On Monday, investigators linked the two cases.

A man, Jonathan Cune, identified as the ex-spouse of the woman killed in Gergy, father of the girl who also died and ex-employer of the young woman found in Saint-Rémy, was then actively sought.

Geolocated thanks to his telephone in Haute-Savoie, the lifeless body of the thirties was finally discovered on Monday in the gorges located below the Caille bridge in Allonzier-la-Caille.

The man "formally identified thanks to the taking of his fingerprints" would have thrown himself from the viaduct after the facts, said the prosecutor of Chalon.

According to the first elements of the investigation, the facts would have taken place between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. Sunday.

Separated from his spouse, Jonathan Cune would have first gone to Gergy to hand over his daughter – of whom he had custody that weekend – to his mother.

Then he would have made an appointment with his former collaborator around 6:30 p.m., in the parking lot of Saint-Rémy.

  • Who are the victims ?

Sarah Goujon was administrative secretary at one of the two driving schools run by Jonathan Cune.

In her thirties, the young woman "was sometimes in contact" with the ex-spouse of the mis en cause, indicated the prosecutor of Chalon.

"There may have been friendly relations between the couple and Sarah Goujon," he added, without however being able to confirm any romantic relationship between the victim killed in Saint-Rémy and his colleague.

Contacted by AFP, the secretary's father formally denied that she had an affair with her boss.

The magistrate made it known during the press conference on Tuesday that "the telephone data of each other" was "being exploited to find out what their relations were".

The other two victims are Audrey Clément, 33, and Albane Cune, 5, the ex-spouse and daughter of the deceased suspect.

According to investigators, Jonathan Cune had been separated since the end of 2021 from the mother of his daughter and both had recently left the family home.

The autopsies of the four bodies must take place today and tomorrow in Dijon and Grenoble.

  • What is the profile of the main suspect?

The family, friends and professional entourage of Jonathan Cune should soon be heard by the investigators.

At this stage of the investigations, the prosecutor Patrice Guignon however specified that this person in charge of driving schools had already been the subject of an awareness course on domestic violence.

After an altercation between the couple, reported by Audrey Clément, the gendarmes had heard the young man.

“He admitted the acts of violence and agreed to be followed,” according to the prosecutor.

His ex-spouse had refused to file a complaint, but a procedure had however been initiated and Jonathan Cune had been the subject of an “alternative measure to prosecution” in October 2019.
