The International Institute of Obstetrics and Technology of the Taiwan Industrial Technology Research Institute estimates that the output value in the second quarter is expected to further climb to 1.19 trillion yuan, a quarterly increase of 2.8%, and the annual output value is expected to increase by 19.4%.
Benefiting from the strong demand in the commercial, gaming notebook and automotive markets, IC design and IC manufacturing plants generally delivered brilliant results in the first quarter of operations.
According to statistics from the International Institute of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the Industrial Technology Research Institute, the output value of Taiwan's IC design industry reached 330 billion yuan in the first quarter, a quarterly increase of 3.9% and an annual increase of 26.8%.
Including TSMC, UMC, World Advanced and RSMC, the production capacity of the first quarter was fully loaded, and the performance reached a record high.

As for the output value of the IC packaging industry this year, Obstetrics International estimates that it will grow by 8.5%, which is lower than the original estimate of 9.1%.
The output value of the IC testing industry will grow by 9.6% this year, which is higher than the original estimate of 8.4%.
