As early as 2009, Nordnytt interviewed Rose-Marie Huuva at Jukkasjärvi cemetery.

She brought a large poster with black mourning ribbons and the message "All Sami remains must be returned for burial."

"An injustice"

And she continues to fight for repatriation and reburial.

- This is an injustice done to my ancestors.

It may be that the Swedish population does not think this is so strange, but from the Sami side, many people think it is unpleasant that our ancestors are in museums and institutions, says Rose-Marie Huuva.

"It hurts so much"

She hopes that it will be different, that her grandmother's remains can be reburied in Rounala, but at the same time knows how the researchers view the matter.

- When you talk to representatives of the research world, they are anxious not to reburial anything.

They think they need more research material, but when I hear that word research material it hurts so much, says Rose-Marie Huuva.
