Over the past year, the average age of a borrower has increased by 0.2 years and, as of April 1, was 43.4 years.

According to NBKI Marketing Director Alexey Volkov,

an increase in this indicator was noted mainly among borrowers over 40 years old.

It is noted that in the age range over 65 years, an increase of 0.5 percentage points was recorded.

“From 40 to 49 years old — by 0.3 p.p., and from 60 to 65 years old — by 0.1 p.p. In addition, the share of citizens under 25 years old continues to grow in the general age structure of borrowers,” — he said.

The expert also noted that the share of citizens under 40 years old (with the exception of the aforementioned youngest borrowers) continues to decline in general.

“At the same time, the age category of borrowers from 30 to 39 years old is also the most numerous - its share in the total age structure is about 30%.

Borrowers from 50 to 59 years old turned out to be the only age group of citizens whose share has not changed over the past year, ”Volkov concluded.

Earlier it became known the number of microloans issued to Russians in March.
