"People's Power" floor leader Kwon Seong-dong said today (11th), "The plan to pay 6 million won in quarantine support must be included in this supplementary budget."

During the first party meeting of the Yoon Seok-yeol administration held at the National Assembly this morning, floor leader Kwon Seok-yeol said, "President Yoon Seok-yeol additionally provided 6 million won to small business owners and the self-employed during the last presidential election, up to a maximum of 10 million won, including the first and second quarantine subsidies. I made a promise to do it,” he said.

He added, "There was some confusion in the process of the transition committee review, but the president is strong in fulfilling his promises."

Regarding the last supplementary budget, floor leader Kwon said, "It is a great achievement to pay 3 million won in quarantine support to 3.7 million small business owners and self-employed people and to meticulously discover the blind spots of the corona virus such as special high schools, freelancers, cultural artists, and corporate taxi drivers." It is also true that small business owners and self-employed people were disappointed as they only raised the compensation correction rate to 90%.”

He said, "The current crisis of people's livelihood is very serious enough to hold party-government consultations less than 24 hours after the presidential inauguration. The new government has a lot of tasks to solve, such as responding to the economic crisis caused by the current economic crisis, managing various price increases due to the failure of the Moon Jae-in regime, and managing the national debt exceeding KRW 1 trillion.”

“It is neither an exaggeration nor an exaggeration to say that the economy and the national finances are in fact starting from ruins,” he said.
