Discover the story of the suicide bombers of 1945 in Japan through a new story by Clémentine Portier-Kaltenbach.

In April 1945, the war between Japan and the United States was at its height.

The Japanese army has set up a special unit made up of airmen, the kamikazes, in charge of a suicide mission.

Among them, Tatsuno, ready to sacrifice his life for the Empire, and Yasuo, forced to accept the fate reserved for his best friend as an escort for the suicide bombers.

In this second part of the episode, Clémentine Portier-Kaltenbach describes the mission of escorts like Yasuo, and recounts the training of these war aviators who chose to give their lives to bring down the Allied armies.

In this second part of the episode, Corporal Yasuo Kuwahara bid farewell to Tatsuno, his childhood friend.

As an escort, Yasuo's mission is to eliminate any threat seen from the sky.

The American planes must not succeed in neutralizing the Japanese planes before these come to explode on the enemy ships.

At the moment of the fateful attack, he has his teaching in mind.

They were taught not to feel anything, to obey orders.
