It is the foundation Blåljus i samverkan that is behind the collection where private individuals and companies have donated money which in turn has gone to buy ambulances that have been taken out of use in the Swedish healthcare.

Will send more ambulances

The goal is to be able to send ten ambulances to Ukraine and Anna-Karin Olofsson was part of the group that drove down ambulance numbers five and six.

She hopes that ambulance numbers seven and eight will come from Norrbotten.

- There are two ambulances that will be scrapped in the Norrbotten region this year and it would be fun if they would like to be part of this, she says.

The ambulances need to be repainted

The Blue Light Foundation in collaboration has previously collected money for staff who have had accidents or for families after staff who have had an accident in the service.

This time, they have collaborated with the organization Blue yellow for Ukraine in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius, which drove the ambulances the last distance to Ukraine.

But first the ambulances were repainted.

- Ambulances have become a goal for the Russians so they try to make them look like ordinary cars, says Anna-Karin Olofsson.

In the clip, she shares her experiences from the trip in words and pictures.
