China News Service, May 10. According to Japan's "Chinese Herald" report, recently, a Jiangxi Chinese woman Jian Xuemei (51 years old) was admitted to the Japanese national qualification "nursing welfare worker" and became a professional in the Japanese nursing field.

She is also the first Japanese nursing industry technical intern.

In July 2018, Jian Xuemei came to Japan as the first nursing technical intern. She was working in a nursing home while learning professional knowledge.

When she was in China, her father was bedridden due to a cerebral infarction. In the process of taking care of her father, she became interested in the industry of "nursing", entered this field, and became the first nursing intern in 2018. day.

Learning Japanese while working is very hard for Jian Xuemei every day.

In the first year, she was supposed to pass the Japanese Language Proficiency Test Level 3, but she failed. Fortunately, because of the relaxation of Japanese government regulations, she could continue to work and study in Japan.

In December 2020, Jian Xuemei passed Level 2 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test.

After basically reaching the standard in Japanese, Jian Xuemei continued to work hard to learn professional knowledge, and successfully passed the national qualification of "Nursing Welfare Worker".

After obtaining this qualification, Jian Xuemei can directly take care of the elderly, touch the elderly's body, and can give guidance and advice on home care.

Jian Xuemei said that being able to obtain this qualification is the result of the help of many people around her, and she has also realized her dream when she first came to Japan.

She thinks that nursing can communicate with many people, and what can be done for those who need nursing to improve their quality of life is a very valuable work.

President Ono, who hired Jian Xuemei and gave her guidance during the qualification examination, was very pleased to see this Chinese woman active in the nursing front line in Japan, and expressed the hope that she could guide the new interns in the future.

Due to the increasingly prominent problem of aging in Japan, Japanese society is eager for nursing staff.

According to Japanese nursing staff, there are expected to be 370,000 nursing staff vacancies in 2025 and 790,000 vacancies in 2035.

This is also the reason why Japan has accelerated the introduction of foreigners working in nursing care.

In recent years, Japan has vigorously introduced technical interns, both in the nursing profession and the nursing profession. However, unlike the Japanese government's initial expectations, many young people from Southeast Asia are restricted in exams because they do not know Chinese characters. They are quite proficient in practical operation, but due to the difficulty of Japanese and Chinese characters in the test, many people cannot pass the test after coming here, and the Chinese have a natural advantage in this regard.
