According to the indictment, the murdered man was chased by two people on foot before the shooting took place at Vallbacksskolan in Gävle.

The suspected perpetrators then flee the scene on their respective bikes.

Prosecutor Stensson believes that the murder took place in a gang environment and the evidence consists, among other things, of a survey of the criminal networks.

- The investigation suggests that the background to the shooting is a conflict between two criminal networks in Gävle where the plaintiff was one of the leading figures on one side while the two accused men were linked to the other side of the conflict.

The police's knowledge of the conflict and early testimony led to a house search at the home of one of the accused men.

The two men were arrested in his home about an hour after the murder, says chamber prosecutor Therese Stensson Jonsson in the press release.

Witness information, IT evidence, DNA results and analyzes of ammunition from the crime scene are also the basis for the indictment.

Prosecuted on suspicion of murder

Early in the morning of November 11, a young man is found dead in Söder in Gävle.

Several residents in the area have previously alerted about gunfire near Vallbacksskolan in Gävle.

An hour later, a 19-year-old and a 20-year-old were arrested who were later arrested on probable cause on suspicion of murder.

A press release from the prosecutor's office now states that the men are charged with murder.
