Putin: Military operation in Ukraine continues

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that Russia did not leave an opportunity to try to resolve the situation by peaceful means in Ukraine before deciding to go into the Russian special military operation.

President Putin's statements came during his meeting with the father of the commander of the "Sparta" battalion in Donetsk, Vladimir Goga, who was killed during the battles he fought against the extremist nationalists in Ukraine, where he said: "Russia has exhausted all available means and opportunities to resolve the matter with the Kyiv regime peacefully."

Putin indicated that the announcement of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine came as a response to Kyiv's indifference to resolving the situation and its acquiescence to the West and Washington's policy in the region, adding that "the Russian army is fighting valiantly, fiercely and faithfully."

Putin stressed that "all military plans are being implemented and the result will be achieved, there is no doubt about that."

The Russian forces and the People's Defense Forces in the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics have continued, since February 24, to liberate the Donbass lands, as part of the special military operation in Ukraine aimed at protecting the population from the oppression of Ukrainian forces and extremist nationalist groups.
