China News Service, May 9. According to Peru's "Gazette" report, in order to promote the recovery of Peru's tourism industry, the Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) of Peru, Roberto Sanchez, said on the 8th local time that the department had asked the Ministry of Health to cancel the Social distancing regulations for Peruvian airports.

In addition, regarding the parking space of airlines, at a meeting held by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism of Peru and the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Defense stated that it intends to temporarily authorize commercial flights to use the air force's dedicated helipad.

To this end, a new specific agreement will be signed between the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Transport and Communications.

The Ministry of Defense will provide eight parking bays for commercial flights, which means an increase in the capacity of the apron at Jorge Chavez International Airport by about 26 percent.

Sanchez also said that Peru must coordinate actions to facilitate the entry of new low-cost airlines, thereby creating a favorable business environment that allows airlines to offer tourists more competitive prices.

To achieve this, Peru must provide the necessary infrastructure to enable commercial airlines to increase their fleets to operate new interregional routes.
