“More than 1 million people took part in the procession of the Immortal Regiment along Nevsky Prospekt.
The column was headed by veterans of the Great Patriotic War, blockade runners, who proceeded to Palace Square on retro cars from the war - the legendary lorry,” the message says.
It is noted that the Immortal Regiment column stretched for the entire 4.5 km of Nevsky Prospekt: there were flags, banners, photographs of fallen heroes everywhere.
Earlier it was reported that in Moscow more than 1 million people are participating in the Immortal Regiment procession.
