People's Power Floor Leader Kwon Seong-dong met with National Assembly Speaker Park Byeong-seok and requested the convening of a plenary session of the National Assembly to approve Prime Minister Han Deok-soo.

Floor leader Kwon said that an additional supplementary budget (additional budget) plan to compensate small business owners is expected to be submitted to the National Assembly on the 12th to 13th.

After meeting Chairman Park in the National Assembly Speaker's Office this morning, floor leader Kwon Seong-dong met with reporters and said, "The Yoon Seok-yeol government will take office tomorrow. "So, I met the chairman and asked the Prime Minister to schedule a plenary session for the approval of the National Assembly," he said.

To this, Chairman Park replied, "I will decide whether to hold the plenary session and the date and time after hearing the opinions of the Democratic Party," said floor leader Kwon.

"The supplementary budget will probably be submitted around the 12th or 13th," Kwon said.

The government is also known to hold the first cabinet meeting on the 12th and strongly review the plan to vote on the supplementary budget bill.

The Ministry of Strategy and Finance has announced that it will announce a second supplementary budget worth around 30 trillion won in the second half of this week, right after the inauguration of President-elect Yoon, focusing on 'complete compensation for losses' to small business owners.

Regarding how to respond if the Democratic Party finally decides on the 'ineligible' policy in relation to the parliamentary approval vote for a prime minister, floor leader Kwon said, "Many lawmakers in the Democratic Party say, "If a candidate rejects a candidate, there will be a backlash in the Democratic Party, and I think I'm going to stick with it," he said.

"Perhaps in their minds, there are lawmakers who think that it is right to approve the prime minister, and that it is the only way to get away from criticism that it is holding the new government in the way," he added.
