  Indonesian Economic Coordinating Minister Airlanga said in Jakarta that day, the country's transportation, warehousing, industry, service, agriculture, construction, etc., almost all supply-side sectors have experienced positive growth; household consumption, investment, Imports and exports are "positive"; the labor market is also showing good development, with "almost all new entrants to the labor market being absorbed".

  Indonesia's tourism industry is also recovering as the Covid-19 outbreak eases.

Data from the country's National Bureau of Statistics showed that foreign tourist visits in March this year were up 121 percent from February and up 206 percent from the same period last year.

Indonesia has now opened visa-free entry for tourists to 43 countries and regions, and quarantine-free entry for those who have completed the COVID-19 vaccine.

Yuwono said the arrival of foreign tourists was "very important" for Indonesia, as a recovery in tourism would accelerate the country's economic recovery.

  Airlanga said that many institutions had previously expected Indonesia's economic growth this year to be between 5% and 5.4%.
