Aged 31, Renard, who has 131 caps for the France team (33 goals), has won 31 titles in the history of OL women, including fourteen French championships, nine national cups and seven Champions Leagues ( ten finals).
She is the first player to have crossed the milestone of one hundred matches in C1, on April 24 during the first leg of the Champions League against Paris Saint-Germain.
Wendie Renard played 419 matches with OL where she arrived in 2006 from Martinique where she was born.

The central defender has repeatedly expressed her desire to discover a new championship.
The extension of his contract may strengthen the hypothesis of a future loan to OL Reign, OL's American franchise, as Lyonnaises Eugénie Le Sommer, Sarah Bouhaddi and Dzsenifer Marozsán did in 2021.

The captain of the France and Lyon team will play in her eleventh Champions League final on May 21 in Turin against FC Barcelona, two years after her last European title.
