A man died in a road accident in Orléans (Loiret) on the night of Friday to Saturday, reports France Bleu Orléans.

The 31-year-old victim is the passenger of a car that collided with a tow truck at the intersection of two streets.

The driver of the car and the driver of the tow truck were seriously injured in the collision.

Aged 27 and 42, they were taken to hospital in a state of absolute emergency.

An open investigation

The prosecution indicated that the light vehicle had fled a police check a few minutes before the fatal accident.

An investigation for "homicide and involuntary injuries" has been launched to determine the exact circumstances of the collision.

She was entrusted with the departmental security of the Orleans police station.

The occupants of the car would be two men suspected in cases of theft of catalytic converters, advances the local media.
