For his first official trip since his re-election, Emmanuel Macron chose Berlin to meet Olaf Scholz.

A date that owes nothing to chance, when Vladimir Putin celebrates the anniversary of the victory over Nazi Germany in 1945. The Head of State, on this Europe Day, wanted to celebrate Franco -German.

After going to Strasbourg where he gave a speech in front of the European Parliament, Emmanuel Macron headed for Berlin to, this time, meet German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to celebrate Franco-German friendship.

A symbol that Emmanuel Macron wanted to send back to Vladimir Putin on May 9.

Emmanuel Macron wanted his first trip abroad following his re-election to be in Germany, in particular to build an image of unity there.

To unite, they also announced the holding of a Franco-German council of ministers next month, after the French legislative elections.

A summit where the future French Prime Minister will probably be present.

Moreover, Emmanuel Macron was questioned on this subject and the Head of State affirmed that he knew who will be the next tenant of Matignon, without however revealing the name.
