American tobacco giant in talks to buy Swedish Match

Philip Morris is active all over the world and owns, among other things, the cigarette brands Marlboro and L&M.

Neither Swedish Match nor Philip Morris want to comment on the ongoing talks in more detail.

But according to information to The Wall Street Journal, a bid can be placed for around SEK 150 billion.

An agreement could be reached before the end of the week, according to the newspaper's sources.
