Two citizens injured in a traffic accident in Khor Fakkan

The competent police services prevented deaths as a result of the rapid response to a traffic accident that occurred this morning in the city of Khorfakkan, which resulted in two citizens with injuries ranging from medium to severe, as a result of the deterioration of their vehicle, and the vehicle burning completely.

Lt. Col. Saeed Rashid Al Hayyi, head of the Khorfakkan Comprehensive Police Station, said that the Operations Room of the Eastern Region Police Department received a report at 2:50 am on Sunday, stating that a deterioration occurred on Khorfakkan Corniche Street and the vehicle caught fire.

Immediately after receiving the report, the first responder, civil defense and national ambulance patrols moved to the site of the accident, where the fire was extinguished and the vehicle commander and escort were taken out by the competent authorities, where the injured were transferred to Khorfakkan Hospital to receive the necessary treatment.

Lt. Col. Al Yahyai indicated that the initial planning for the accident showed that the driver of the vehicle lost control as a result of excessive speed, which led to the sudden swerving, deteriorating the vehicle and burning it completely.

The head of the comprehensive Khorfakkan Police Station called for adherence to traffic laws on internal and external roads, adherence to the specified speeds on the road, and caution and attention while driving to prevent traffic accidents.
