Vichel recalled that earlier the United States froze Russian gold and foreign exchange reserves in the amount of about $ 300 billion, and the House of Representatives approved a bill allowing the transfer of assets related to Russia to Ukraine.

“In essence, this means that the Russian state or Russian citizens ... will also contribute to the restoration of the country,” the parliamentarian added.

At the same time, he said that the reaction of the Swedish government in the situation with Ukraine, "as in many other cases", was slow.

According to Vichel, the Swedish political opposition had to take “certain steps” in order for Stockholm to provide assistance to “Ukrainian brothers and sisters in the form of the weapons they need for self-defense.”

Against this background, the parliamentarian asked the head of the Foreign Ministry what measures she intends to take in order to "force" Russia to finance the restoration of Ukraine.

Earlier, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmygal said that Kyiv is negotiating with the United States and other Western countries on the use of frozen Russian assets.
