As noted, the awards were presented to the commander of the assault aviation regiment, Lieutenant Colonel Dmitry Litvinov and the navigator of the fighter aviation regiment, Major Viktor Dudin.
“With his decisive and courageous actions, Lieutenant Colonel Litvinov saved the life of his comrade-in-arms, while maintaining aviation equipment,” RIA Novosti reports.
The Ministry of Defense added that Dudin, having skillfully performed an air maneuver, destroyed an enemy aircraft from the first approach in a duel battle, preventing a strike on Russian troops.
Earlier it was reported that the wounded Russian servicemen were awarded for the heroism shown during the special operation in Ukraine.
