On May 7, local time, the inauguration of French President Emmanuel Macron's second term was held at the Elysee Palace in Paris.

At the ceremony, Macron was confirmed as the winner of the presidential election by French Constitutional Council President Fabius.

According to tradition, Macron took office at the same time as the Grand Marshal of the French National Legion of Honor, and the French Invalides also fired a 21-gun salute.

Macron then gave a speech saying he would build a "more dynamic and stronger France" and would adopt a new approach to governance.

Hundreds of people attended the ceremony, including Macron's wife Brigitte, former French President Francois Hollande and Sarkozy.

Macron's first term will end at midnight local time on May 13, followed by the official start of a five-year second term.

On April 24, Macron won the second round of the French presidential election with 58.55% of the vote, defeating the far-right party "National League" candidate Marine Le Pen and successfully re-elected.
