SVT is in the middle of a major investment in local journalism and is increasing the number of newsrooms at a rapid pace.

At the beginning of 2015, SVT was present in 27 locations.

Since then, a record-breaking expansion has taken place, financed through tough reprioritisations and savings.

The goal is at least 50 locations by 2023. This means that SVT has almost doubled the number of newsrooms in just a few years.

The Dorotea editorial office is organized under SVT Nyheter Västerbotten and the reporter Moa Lindberg, who will work there, covers Dorotea, Åsele, Vilhelmina, Strömsund and Sollefteå in the three counties.

Opportunity to ask questions to SVT profiles

Karin Wiechel, editor-in-chief of SVT Nyheter Västerbotten and SVT's CEO Hanna Stjärne are among those present.

In addition to the Dorotea reporter Moa Lindberg, at the inauguration you will meet the host Julia Hedlund, the meteorologist Nils Holmqvist, and the reporter Berno Jonsson.

Come and meet us and raise which issues you think are extra important to monitor.

The editorial office will be inaugurated on Monday 9 May at 15-17 on Storgatan 26 in Dorotea.
