Full and large means protective suits.

The scene was impressive, this Saturday afternoon, on the way to the plain in Mouans-Sartoux, near Grasse.

A unit of firefighters specializing in chemical risk intervened in a building of the local water authority after a chlorine leak, indicated the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (Sdis) of the Alpes-Maritimes.

No impact on water distribution

It was a technical malfunction in the factory that led to the production of gaseous chlorine in a closed room.

A safety perimeter has been set up, the source of gas production has been removed and the affected room has been ventilated.

In the end, more fear than harm: "This incident had no impact on the operation of the plant, nor on the distribution of water" and caused "no injuries or victims", specified on Sdis 06.
