The city of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip witnessed a mass rally in support of the leader of the Islamic Resistance Movement "Hamas" in Gaza, Yahya Sinwar, after the campaign of threats and Israeli incitement to assassinate him.

The march roamed the streets of the city to reach Sinwar's house, with the participation of the masses and leaders of the Palestinian factions. The protesters praised the support and protection of the Qassam Brigades for the leaders of the Palestinian resistance, and chanted slogans in support of Sinwar and the leadership of the resistance.

The leader of "Hamas" Mushir al-Masri confirmed that the occupation's assassination is playing with fire and that blood will be met with blood and bombing with bombing, as he put it.

He also warned the leader of the Islamic Jihad Movement, "Khaled al-Batsh", that harming any of the leaders of the Palestinian resistance at home or abroad will open to the occupation what he described as a gate of hell.

Earlier on Saturday, the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the "Hamas" movement, warned Israel against harming the movement's leader in the Gaza Strip, Yahya Sinwar, or "resistance leaders."

Al-Qassam Brigades spokesman Abu Obeida warned what the enemy called that harming Yahya Sinwar or any of the resistance leaders would herald an earthquake in the region.

He said that harming Sinwar will lead to an unprecedented response, and that the battle of Saif al-Quds will be a normal event compared to what the enemy will witness, as he put it.

In a speech at the end of last month, Sinwar affirmed that what he called the sword of Jerusalem, which the movement drew last year, will not be sheathed until liberation and return, which indicates that "Hamas" is continuing to enter the line of what is happening in Jerusalem.

"Do not kill Sinwar"

For his part, Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz, in response to a question about the demands to assassinate Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar in Gaza, said that this is not a political issue and that all decisions should be taken in closed-room discussions for security reasons, as he put it.

And the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper's website quoted a senior security official as saying that the Israeli army command recommended the political leadership not to assassinate Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar in Gaza at this stage.

According to this official, "Hamas" is in a state of what he called "hysteria," adding that what he described as the "cowardly incitement" it is practicing is just an attempt to score gains at the expense of Operation El-Ad.

Yedioth Ahronoth quoted senior security officials as saying that the Israeli army's recommendation not to assassinate Sinwar at this stage is due to the fact that the army recommends assassinating Hamas leaders when it is convenient for Israel and not only when it is available.

return process

On Friday, Israeli representatives, former officials and journalists openly called for the assassination of Sinwar, whom they blamed for the attack that took place on Friday evening in the city of Elad, near Tel Aviv, which killed 3 Israelis and wounded several others.

And the Israeli security forces continue to search for the perpetrators of Operation Elad, while dozens of patrols of the occupation stormed on Saturday the town of Silat Al-Harithiya in Jenin and blew up the house of the captive Omar Jaradat.

Israeli settlers demonstrated against the Bennett government and clashed with Israeli police at the site of Operation Elad east of Tel Aviv.

The Inspector General of the Israeli Police ordered to reinforce patrols in city centers and public parks to search for two people who carried out the attack.

The search process extends on a large scale to include Palestinian cities within the Green Line and villages close to the line of contact.

On Friday morning, the Israeli police and intelligence published photos and names of two workers from the village of Rummana, west of Jenin, suspected of carrying out the Elad attack, which left 3 wounded in addition to the three dead.

In a related context, Al-Jazeera correspondent reported that the Israeli military leadership decided to extend the siege on the West Bank and the Gaza Strip crossings for two additional days.

The Israeli Minister of Defense and the leaders of the army and security services held a meeting in Tel Aviv to assess the security situation and take a decision regarding the continued tightening of the military closure of the West Bank and Gaza Strip crossings, which has already taken place.
