Yemen..The release of Houthi prisoners strengthens the humanitarian truce

In turn, the "Islamic Cooperation" welcomed the release of 163 Houthi prisoners as part of the Saudi initiative, and expressed its hope that efforts would continue to consolidate the armistice and provide conditions for a comprehensive political settlement.

While the Houthi militia dealt with the prisoners' file as a political file, through which it seeks to mobilize more fighters and push them to the fronts, the official spokesman for the Prisoners' Affairs Committee of the Yemeni government, Majed Fadayel, indicated that dealing with the file of humanitarian prisoners is openness.

Fadayel called on the Houthi militia to deal with the file of prisoners humanely, and not to put obstacles in the way of prisoner exchange deals, and to choose specific names and reject others.
