The UAE strongly condemns the attack east of the Suez Canal and stands in solidarity with Egypt against terrorism

The UAE strongly condemned the terrorist attack that targeted a water lift station in the eastern Suez Canal region, in the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt, which led to the death and injury of a number of soldiers.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation affirmed that the UAE expresses its strong condemnation of these criminal acts, and its permanent rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism aimed at destabilizing security and stability and inconsistent with humanitarian values ​​and principles.

The Ministry renewed its firm position and solidarity with the Arab Republic of Egypt in confronting terrorists, and its support and assistance in all the measures it takes to protect its security and stability and to eradicate this scourge.

The Ministry also expressed its sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims as a result of this heinous crime, and its wishes for a speedy recovery for all the injured.

In Cairo, Al-Azhar Al-Sharif condemned in the strongest terms the terrorist attack that targeted the western Sinai waterlift point.

Al-Azhar affirmed - in a statement issued today - that the Egyptians stand united with heroic soldiers and officers of the armed forces, in the war against this insidious terrorism, reiterating its support for the efforts made by the army and police forces in the face of terrorism.

For his part, Adel bin Abdul Rahman Al-Asoumi, Speaker of the Arab Parliament, strongly condemned the cowardly terrorist attack on a water lifting point in the east of the Suez Canal.

He praised the tireless efforts of the brave men of the Egyptian armed forces in the fight against terrorism and terrorist organizations.
