“Another serviceman has been identified who gave illegal orders to shell the civilian population of the Donetsk People's Republic and civilian infrastructure - this is the commander of the 56th separate motorized infantry brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel Serhiy Sirchenko,” the report says.
It is noted that the investigators opened a criminal case against the commander under part 1 of article 356 of the Russian Criminal Code (ill-treatment of the civilian population, the use of means and methods in an armed conflict prohibited by an international treaty of the Russian Federation).
Earlier it became known that Russian investigators identified the Ukrainian commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine responsible for the targeted artillery shelling of Donetsk, as a result of which one person was killed and nine were injured.
