On May 6, the "Comprehensive Survey and Research Report on China's Rural Revitalization 2021" released by the Institute of Rural Development of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences shows that the proportion of the population aged 60 and above in the total population of China's rural areas has reached 20.04%, and the proportion of the population aged 65 and above has reached 20.04%. It reached 13.82%, fully meeting the standard of "aging society".
Compared with the national aging data, the aging degree in rural areas far exceeds the national situation.
