This was reported on the website of the department.

It is clarified that it will be possible to apply for the service regardless of the purpose of the trip.

“Accompanying relatives will be able to travel with the veteran.

The trips of each veteran will be subsidized for a total amount of up to 3,000 rubles per person,” the department noted.

The service applies to disabled people and participants in the Great Patriotic War, military personnel of the last military draft during the Great Patriotic War, as well as persons who worked in the air defense during this period.

“The veteran himself, his representative or relative can order a taxi at any convenient time by calling the social security worker attached to the veteran,” the message says.

The free travel program appeared in the Moscow region and 42 cities in other regions of Russia on May 6.

By June 10, it will appear in all cities where taxi carriers work and where veterans live.

Thus, the service will be available to more than 26,000 veterans.

Earlier it was reported that more than 50 million rubles will be allocated to support veterans in the Tomsk region.
