It was a far from unanimous committee that made the decision on Thursday to sharply reduce the lowest level for the Swedish wolf population.

It was Moderates, Sweden Democrats, Center Party members and Sweden Democrats who drove over the Social Democrats, the Left Party, the Green Party and the Liberals.

The latter parties want to maintain the current levels.

Decisions in the Riksdag

The committee's decision is a so-called announcement to the government.

Debate in the Riksdag will be on 12 May, decision on 18 May.

If members of the Riksdag vote in the same way as in the Committee on Agriculture, there is a majority in favor of reducing the minimum level of the wolf population.
