Lee Jae-myung, a standing adviser to the Democratic Party, and Ahn Cheol-soo, chairman of the transition committee, who competed in the last presidential election, ran into the election after two months.
First of all, the Democratic Party strategically nominated Lee standing advisor for the by-election of the National Assembly in Gyeyang, Incheon, which will be held along with the local election on June 1.
This advisor will also serve as the permanent election committee chairperson and lead the election.

adviser
to run for Incheon, where he could support the national election, rather than being isolated in Seongnam. The reason for Lee's 'early appearance' two months after losing
the
presidential election is interpreted that he had in mind the party representative election in August.
It is said that his aides persuaded the adviser with a realistic theory that "members must be the representative of the party to actively defend themselves even if the situation is turbulent."
There is also an analysis that the intention is to change the party to the 'Lee Jae-myung Democratic Party' by looking at five years from now in a situation where the power within the party is still weak compared to the pro-moon and pro-Nak ties.
