The reason for this is a change in data collection by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI).

The RKI explains on its website that the integration of the various data is complex and always requires some adjustments in order to display the vaccination rates as accurately and up-to-date as possible.

On April 29, several changes were made in the vaccination quota table: On the one hand, the vaccination data of the registered contract doctors were replaced by the more complete accounting data of the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians.

On the other hand, the counting of vaccinations with the Janssen vaccine from Johnson & Johnson has been adjusted.

The vaccination quotas have changed slightly as a result of these adjustments, but they therefore reflect the status of vaccinations in Germany more precisely.
