SVT Nyheter Skåne has previously reported that the two teenagers were close friends and shared an interest in school attacks.

In an interrogation, the 15-year-old who was convicted of the attack in Eslöv says, among other things, that they have known each other for six years.

- We shared an interest in war and neo-Nazism.

We were both very familiar with World War II, says the 15-year-old, when asked about their friendship.

Extensive telephone contact

On January 10, at the time of the school attack in Kristianstad, the 15-year-old was sitting at a SIS home in northern Sweden.

The week before, between 4 and 9 January, the 16-year-old had extensive telephone contacts with the SIS home.

A total of 27 calls with a talk time of about eleven hours.

The last call occurred 15 hours before the act.

- We talked every day for a week and it was quite long conversations, two hours went quickly, says the 15-year-old.

"Never thought he would do anything"

The 15-year-old says that the 16-year-old never mentioned anything about himself planning a school attack.

- Right then I did not think he could be capable of doing something like this.

I never suspected or thought he would do anything.

But afterwards, when I had read the news, I knew immediately that he had done it, says the 15-year-old.

The 16-year-old's lawyer Björn Attnarsson confirms that the two teenagers had contact in close connection with the attack.

He also says that plans for a school attack were never mentioned.

- I am of the opinion that these conversations had nothing to do with the school attack in Kristianstad, says Björn Attnarsson.

Joked about the school attack in Eslöv

However, the 15-year-old says that they talked a lot about the attack in Eslöv.

- We joked about how I stabbed the teacher during my attack, about how it happened and why I did so.

There were some racist jokes too and everything in between, he says.

According to the prosecutor, there is nothing to indicate that there was a hate crime motive at the time of the act in Kristianstad:
