The number of weddings decreased during the pandemic compared with 2019, according to statistics from Statistics Sweden.

But now the restrictions are gone and many weddings are arranged that did not take place in 2020 and 2021.

Desirée Wetter Malaroda and Love Grahn should have actually gotten married last year, but chose to wait due to the pandemic.

But now family and friends will be able to attend the wedding in Malma church in Kolsva.

And the party will be held at a mansion in Västmanland.

- Love's family is large and in my family there are many who are older.

We did not want to risk them getting sick.

And in the room they would only take in eight people and we are a total of 56 people, says Desirée.

Changed wedding plans

At first they had thought of a different approach.

But feel that the extra year of planning has resulted in something that feels better.

- Actually, we should have gotten married in the garden, but now it became more well thought out and structured, says Desirée, and is supported by Love.
