Azoustal Works, the last stronghold of the Ukrainian army in Mariupol, a port city in southern Ukraine.

More than 2,000 Ukrainian troops, including the Azou Regiment, are engaged in a decisive struggle.

Many civilians remain inside the steelworks, and the Russian military promised a ceasefire for three days from the 5th to cooperate with the evacuation of civilians.

However, the Azou Regiment said the Russian army attacked a vehicle that was helping to evacuate civilians with an anti-tank guided weapon.

It was a unilateral violation of the ceasefire promise.

One Ukrainian soldier was killed and six injured in the attack, the Azou Regiment said.

Despite the Russian attack, the evacuation of civilians continues.

Deputy Prime Minister Irina Bereshchuk said at least 50 more people, including women and children, had been evacuated.

Previously, the United Nations and the International Red Cross had rescued about 500 civilians through two operations.

However, it is known that there are still about 200 civilians left inside the steelworks.

The United Nations Security Council held a meeting at the United Nations Headquarters in New York and adopted a statement supporting a peaceful resolution of the Ukraine crisis.

However, conscious of Russia's veto power, the term conflict was used instead of the words invasion or war.
